Jazz it up is a light-hearted showpiece in a jazz idiom, in three movements. It features brilliant improvisatory solos for the clarinet, as well as a romantic and lyrical quality. Strutting is music full of swagger and attitude, while Romance has a tender, melancholic mood. To finish, Bright Sparks provides an entertaining and positive conclusion.
