Carlos Gardel - Por una Cabeza
for String Orchestra

Carlos Gardel (1890-1935) was an Argentinian singer and songwriter, famous for his tango songs. Along with Alfredo Le Pera, he wrote some of the most well-known tangos, before their tragic death in an air-crash. Por una Cabeza was written in 1935 and compares a horse gambler's addiction to his love of women. The song has been arranged on numerous occasions, this arrangement is for string orchestra (minimum 3, 3, 2, 2, 1)
