Edward Elgar - Nimrod

Elgar's 'Nimrod' is taken from his Enigma Variations, and is a tribute to Elgar's friend August Jaeger. It is a work of great emotional depth and has become frequently used on British national occasions. This arrangement for medium-sized orchestra was made for the Coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on 6th May 2023.

Instrumentation: Flute, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets, Bassoon, 2 Horns, 3 Trumpets, Trombone, Timpani, Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello, Double Bass (medium-sized string section)
