Chit Chat
for Keyboard Duet
Chit Chat is a suite in three short movements evoking lively conversations. Pep talk is a rhythmic and driving burst of energy. Clean blues has a relaxed, smoky atmosphere, evoking the guitar. Breezy banter closes the suite in a jazzy and improvisatory style. It was composed in April 2020, to be performed on the clavichord by Julian Perkins and Terence Charlston. They have recorded the work on two clavichords on their album Chit Chat. It can be performed on clavichord, harpsichord or piano.
