Changes
​for Solo Cello

Changes consists of five contrasting movements displaying the colourful variety of the solo cello. The music is jazzy, characterful, virtuosic and soulful. The title evokes the 'changes' found in jazz music of harmonic progressions, but also the contrasting, changing styles and moods of the work. It features a funky Stomp, a demonic Pranks, a pizzicato Blues, a soulful Lament, and finishes with a swinging Send Off.
