Georges Bizet - Le Bal
for Chamber Ensemble

Georges Bizet (1838-1875) composed Jeux d'Enfants in 1871 for piano duet, and orchestrated five movements to create Petite Suite. As with many of Bizet's other works, the music is full of melody, brilliance and charm. The final movement Le Bal is a lively and joyful work, here arranged for chamber ensemble.

Instrumentation: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, timpani, violin 1, violin 2, viola, cello, double bass (12 players)
