Aria
​for Organ Solo

Aria is a simple trio movement, both highly expressive and restrained. It is influenced by the slow movements of the Baroque trio sonata, and is played on two separate manuals. The music is nostalgic and melancholic, and a free use of rubato is encouraged. It was composed in 2004.
