for Chamber Orchestra Émile Waldteufel (1837-1915) was a well-known composer and conductor of orchestral dance music, who had a successful career around Europe with his waltzes and polkas. The España Waltz was composed in 1886 and is based on Chabrier's own orchestral piece España. Instrumentation: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Harp, 2 Percussion (timpani, snare drum, triangle, cymbals, castanets, tambourine), Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Violoncello, Double Bass (15 players) A larger string section can be used.
