Johann Strauss II - Annen Polka
for Chamber Orchestra

Johann Strauss II (1825 – 1899) was known in his lifetime as “The Waltz King”, who composed a vast number of dances, as well as operettas and ballet. Annen Polka was composed in 1852 and is a steady Polka Francaise, slower than the rapid German polkas.

Instrumentation: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Harp, 2 Percussion (timpani, snare drum), Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Violoncello, Double Bass (15 players)​
