​Edward Elgar - Carissima
for String Quartet

Elgar's Carissima was composed in 1913, originally for small orchestra. It was a salon style work, designed to be recorded on a single side of a 78 record. The work contains characteristic Elgarian melody, wistful nostalgia and warm emotion. It is arranged for string quartet.
